Can we really lose or gain time?

Different  places have different types. This   can understood easily. Earlier people  used to understand the time of the day simply by looking at the sun’s position. When it is at 90° above the head, it is a 12’0 clock in the afternoon and so on.  But as soon as trains came into existence, people started travelling to far away distances from their local area. And it became a problem for adjusting time while moving from one timezones to another. Hence,  the need to create a  standard time  for all emerged. So, countries or large territories began to follow a standard time zone. But how will we create a standard time zone?? The answer to the post will be given in the next post. The answers to Rahul's and Jane's questions boils down to one thing - TIMEZONES. A timezone is a place/location on the Earth, where all the people of that area set their watches to the same time or in other words all the people of an area on the Earth follow a particular time. There are a total of 24 timezones on the Earth, divided by the longitudes. But why do we need a timezone?? And follow different time for different places?? Stay tuned for the reasons.☺️☺️

There are many instances where we really get confused about time. In such situations the most common question that comes to our minds is do we gain time or lose it?? Rahul is a little boy who is a native of Rajasthan and his father is an army officer who is posted in Arunachal Pradesh. When Rahul video calls his father at early in the morning he notices that the sun is already up there but it was still dark in his place. Now he becomes confuse that why is time different for both the places. Can you answer his query?? Jane was traveling from her country to another country. By plane it takes 9 hours to reach there. She started at morning 6:00 am and thought that she would reach by 3:00 pm. But on arrival she saw that it was only noon 12'o clock. She becomes confuse and got a doubt that if the journey is of 9 hours that how did they reached three hours early?? Can you clarify her doubt?
